President

My name is Craig Laws. I was born in Kalamazoo in September of 1987 to Art and Cindi Laws, I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 218 in Parchment, an avid outdoorsman, and most recently, President of Laws Electric LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) out of Plainwell, MI (which was my dream from 10 years of age). I was a member of Parchment United Methodist church where our Boy Scout Troop would meet every Monday, and was introduced to, and later employed by, Ron Webster of Webster Electric Inc, where I would come to work for over 14 years. Shortly after the announcement of the sale of the company and Ron’s inevitable retirement, I opened Laws Electric LLC, beginning this wonderful journey.

My father and mother, Art and Cindi Laws have owned and operated Art’s Handyman Services since I was young. My youth was spent working with my dad during afternoons and weekends to pay for my 4-wheeler and Nextel bill; a deal I made with my parents at an early age. I had no idea how this time would become vital to my success today.

Watching my dad continuously solve problems through various unique situations taught me very quickly that there is no such thing as “I CAN’T.” This instilled a mindset and confidence that would make me stand out among the crowd as a young apprentice. I could do ANYTHING!

His dedication to his customers and commitment to their satisfaction is no less than perfect, which taught me how to build relationships and take care of those relationships. As Art always said, “do it right or don’t do it at all” (which also applied to mopping the kitchen floor or other various household chores) or my favorite, “Kid, do not worry about the money. You worry about the people. Take of the people and the money comes naturally.” Single handedly the best business advice I have ever received.

This is a portion of what helped form Laws Electric’s style to bring our quality to the forefront. My goal is to look anyone in the eye and promise that we will strive to complete your electrical service as close to perfect as possible. I, Craig Laws, can promise our goal every day is to deliver a QUALITY, and LONG-LASTING installation at a fair price. All while causing minimal inconvenience in your life.
